Transitioning from military life, Andrew found a new passion in barbering, currently undergoing an apprenticeship to fulfill this aspiration. His love for interacting with people and hearing their stories inspired him to pursue this career path, reminiscent of the diverse experiences he encountered in the Army.

Question 1 - Where were you born?
Andrew -Â Stockbridge, GA
Question 2 - What school(s) did you attend?
Andrew -Â I graduated from Indiana Senior High School, Indiana PA
Question 3 - What did you do after graduating?
Andrew - After graduating high school I worked at Sears for a few months selling Electronics and Appliances. I pretty much quickly decided it wasn't for me and I enlisted in the Army as a 31B. I did basic and AIT at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri. After completing Training I was sent to Fort Bliss TX, where I served 5 years, during that time I was a part of two missions, the First being in Kuwait, where I spent a year between Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring. The second being a border support mission where we had to keep caravans from crossing the border near MCAS Miramar, San Diego, California.
Question 4 - What was your first job?
Andrew -Â Selling electronics and Appliances at Sears
Question 5 - What do you do for a living?
Andrew -Â 100% Medical retired from the Army and working on an Apprenticeship to be a Barber at the moment.
Question 6 - What inspired you to pursue your job?
Andrew -Â I really have a love for talking to people, just hearing people's stories and being able to interact with a very diverse set of people is always something I've loved doing. That's partially what led me to join the Army. The atmosphere of a barbershop is a lot like that too.

Question 8 - What are some of your achievements?
Andrew -Â During my time in the service, I was an MP, and I caught an escaped convict who broke out and was hiding in Fort Bliss, TX. Also, my entire company in the Army, 202D MP CO, was the recipient of the JP Holland Award, for being the Best MP Co in the Army.
Question 9 - What are your goals and aspirations?
Andrew -Â My current goals are just to complete my Apprenticeship to be a barber.
